Íñigo Jerez

Palma de Mallorca, 1972

He studied illustration at the School of Arts and Crafts in Palma de Mallorca, and graphic design at the Massana School and Parsons School.

He combines graphic design with typographic development of various projects. He has been awarded with the Laus awards for the design of the fonts Dinamo and Suite, Certificates of Excellence in Type Design granted by ATypI for the design of the fonts Latina and Onserif & Onsans, and Certificates of Excellence granted by Type Directors Club for the fonts Suite and Quixote.

He has carried out projects about typographic identity for the Generalitat de Catalunya (112 Emergencies and Arts Santa Mònica).

The font Quixote has been awarded the first prize in the International Typography Contest “Q-Type”, organised by Centro Regional de Diseño de Castilla-La Mancha in the occasion of celebration of the fourth centenary of The Quixote.

Currently, he reconciles the direction of the studies about graphic design called Extra!, Teaching typography at EINA.
